Dear Warrior Families,
Here’s everything you need to know for the weeks ahead; and don't forget there is school tomorrow!
Let’s keep showing the Warrior Way with Perseverance and Pride in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
 Warrior Way 5K - Sunday, September 28th at 10 am at George Whittell High School.
Whether you run, jog, or walk, it’s all about Warrior spirit. Families and community members are encouraged to participate—come out and show your support! There will also be an 800 meter fun run for the little ones.

- MS Cross Country @ Incline Middle – Depart 12:30 PM | 1:00–3:30 PM
- HS Cross Country @ Fernley – Depart 12:30 PM | 1:30–5:00 PM
- Boys & Girls Soccer vs. Battle Mountain – 4:00–8:00 PM
Saturday, Sept. 6
- Girls Soccer vs. Lovelock – 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Tuesday, Sept. 9
- Boys & Girls Soccer vs. Yerington – 2:00–6:00 PM
Wednesday, Sept. 10
- MS Girls Basketball @ North Tahoe – Depart 3:00 PM | 4:00–6:00 PM
- Booster Meeting – 5:00–6:15 PM

Students, Parents, and Guardians,
We are pleased to inform you that our school will be offering the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) to all eligible 10th and 11th-grade students this fall. This is a valuable opportunity for students to:
- Practice for the ACT/SAT
- Qualify for scholarships and recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program
Test Details
- Date: October 16, 2025
- Cost: $18
- (This fee can be reimbursed by the Boosters after the test if you complete the necessary paperwork.)
- Who Should Take It: 10th and 11th-grade students
- What It Is: A practical assessment that measures critical reading, writing, and math skills
How to Sign Up
- Sign-up sheet is posted on the school counselor’s door
- To sign up, you must show your paid receipt to the counselor

Sunshine Committee
Are you interested in contributing to the Booster's events, but can't make the monthly meetings? We are in need of volunteers to help with our Sunshine Committee. The next Boosters Meeting is Wednesday September 10th 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm at Whittell.
Boosters Club is made up of parents and teachers with the goal of fundraising and then funding programs and activities to improve the lives of Whittell's students.
Participate in our activities, learn how to request funding for programs you care about, find out where you can volunteer to help. And every year we need new board members so get to know Boosters and participate on the Board to lead decisions in the coming year.
