Closures & Delays
In the event of inclement weather, DCSD's first consideration is the safety of our students.
It may become necessary to cancel school, delpickup times by 120 minutes, or pick up stdents at specific snow stops (formerly called Main Stops for Lake Tahoe schools). This decision will be made no later than 5:00 am.
Families will receive a phone call, text message, and email, and if you use the ParentSquare app, you will also receive an app notification. Families will receive this message by 5:30 am. Please make sure all your contact information is correct in Infinite Campus by reviewing your contact preferences and phone numbers in your IC Parent Portal account.
Our District website, Facebook page, and Instagram account will also display this information, and there will be a website pop-up on all school sites.
Local news outlets will also be notified of any delays or closures.
